Where can I find out about special shopping hours for NHS workers/vulnerable residents?

Several retailers have set aside special opening hours for NHS workers and vulnerable residents. Please see below for a list of stores and corresponding hours. Please note that these are likely to change, so it is advisable to check with each store before shopping:

Mondays and Thursdays from 8am-9am have been set aside for older & vulnerable
customers

Tuesdays and Fridays from 8am-9am  have been set aside for NHS and emergency services workers
The first opening hour in Waitrose supermarkets – 8am–9am Monday to Friday and 10am–11am on Sunday – will be dedicated to elderly and vulnerable shoppers, as well as those who look after them.

Vulnerable shoppers and their carers are able to shop Monday to Saturday from 8am-9am and on Sunday from 10am – 11am.

Monday, Wednesday and Friday, all Sainsbury’s stores will dedicate 08.00 to 09.00 to serving elderly customers, disabled customers and carers

NHS and social care workers will be able to shop in our supermarkets for half an hour before they open, from Monday to Saturday. Anyone with NHS ID will be able to shop from 07.30 to 08.00 on these days.

Online delivery slots will be prioritised for elderly, disabled and vulnerable customers. If you’re elderly, disabled or vulnerable and think you should be on our vulnerable customer list, please get in touch on 0800 328 1700.
